I agree wholeheartedly Melissa - I was the Union Co KyGenWeb coordinator for a short time and I visited Union County and the historical society. What pride they had showing me thru their museum in a very old house. Everything neatly organized. Ruth Heffington remarked to me what pride the Camp Breckinridge soldiers had when they come for their reunion each year. They would visit the museum and bring her something to put it in... The military museum is fantastic and they do have just one of the murals.. Would be of great sorrow to see these murals bought and moved .... Not only does the museum have a military room but they have so much vital information. I'd like to see something done to. I am a member of the society and I'm looking forward if anyone could suggest what to do. -----Original Message----- From: Melissa Shreve-Owen <blondie@Dynasty.Net> To: kygen-l@rootsweb.com <kygen-l@rootsweb.com>; KYHENDER-L@rootsweb.com <KYHENDER-L@rootsweb.com> Cc: KYROOTS@LSV.UKY.EDU <KYROOTS@LSV.UKY.EDU> Date: Sunday, January 18, 1998 8:53 PM Subject: [KYGEN-L] Union County Historical Society >For those of you that don't know, The Union County, KY Museum has been >**Condemned**.
