Here's what I have on Sutton in Henderson Co, Ky. I'm starting with the earliest info I have: Stephen Sutton- b. abt 1820 and originally of VA. Living in Henderson Co at the time of the 1850 and 1860 census' married Helen ( or Hellen) G. Sutton ( Her head stone at Corydon Cemetary says w/o Stephen d/o Thos(Thomas) and Nancy Sutton of Allen Co, KY) Children: Thomas J.- born about 1845 William K.- born about 1847 James M. -born about 1849 Franklin- b. Jan 4, 1845 d. May 17, 1929 Corydon Cemetery John. O- born about 1856 died: May 25, 1935 Corydon cemetery< this is where we come in. John adopted James Tillman Pittcock, who had the Suttons that I know in Henderson. John O. Sutton married Susan E. ? and had no children of their own. His adopted son became James Tillman (Pittcock) Sutton James Tillman (Pittcock)Sutton born Nov 3, 1886 near Reed Ky in Hndsn Co. to Steve Pittcock and Neal ( the death cert. only gives the name Neal) married Bertha Lee Smith( d/o Thomas Wesly Smith and Ambie Burkhart) and had the following children: James Tillman Sutton, Jr.- b Mar 16, 1905 d. Sept. 6, 1943 Corydon Cemetery Frances Lucille Sutton Hanamon-sp? Died in Denver CO Carl Edward or Edward Carl Sutton- living, last know address KC,KS Raymond Earl Sutton- Living- My grandfather. Married Mary Jeanette Mauzey. Only child was Scarlett Earlenne Sutton At one time the children of James and Bertha were living in Henderson. I don't know anything of them other than their names, so they may have had spouses and children also living there.
