Any other subscribers researching this family? Hi Suzanne...According to information at http://www.uky.edu/KentuckyPlaceNames/ Kentucky Place names, Steamport Landing and Steamport Hill are both in northeastern Webster County near the Green River. Steamport Ferry (Green River) is on the border of Webster and McLean Counties. This is a wonderful site to find out where towns/places/features are located in Kentucky and everyone needs to have it in their bookmarks. You'll have to write to the Henderson County Clerk for a copy of that 1823 marriage certificate. PO Box 374; Henderson, KY 42420-0374; Phone: (502) 826-3906; FAX: (502) 826-9677 Those addresses are several years old but I'm sure someone here will correct them if they've changed.
