    1. Re: Henderson Co. Books
    2. Hi, Netta...... I'm looking for anything on the Farley family of Zion that might pinpoint their roots..........you might remember some of them......Nellie, taught second grade at Seventh Street school for forty or more years, Lucille, treasurer of Henderson Co. for upteen years, Quinn, who sold magazines by phone as he was handicapped.......Sara and Mildred, my mother.......they were the children of Walter Earl and May Brooks Farley. He was a grocer in Zion. His parents were Roberta Augusta Farley and Sterling Austin Decauter Farley. I think her parents were Henry Farley and Elizabeth Penick, maybe of Hardin Co. They were first cousins. Sterling's parents were Robert A. Farley and Mary Wood, both of Virginia and the original family members to come to Henderson County. Most of them (the older ones) are buried in the Farley cemetery on the Airline Road......most of the rest in Fernwood. I'm just trying to pinpoint death and birth dates, reasons for death, marriage dates, etc. etc. and any published history of the family. They were early pioneers of the Zion area....... My mother married Arthur Robinson Kasey, who worked at the Gleaner and was the West Kentucky reporter for the Evansville Press for many years. His parents were Henry Porter Kasey and Cora Duncan, of Daviess Co. Thanks for all the good work you all do........ Sally Kasey Emily
