Hopkinsville Kentuckian August 11, 1896 THOMAS BROWN, the Webster county farmer, who in a fit of frenzy attempted to muder his wife and child and mother in law, at his home near Dixon last week, was brought to this city Saturday night and confined in the asylum, having been adjudged of unsound mind by a jruy. He had attempted to kill his victims with an ax handle, and leaving them for dead went and gave himself up to a neighb or. He was tried for his crimes but was declared crazy. It is thought his wife will recover. He is only 30 years old.
