I know that with my ISP the messages are deleted from the ISP server *only* if the whole batch is delivered successfully at one time. If I receive 20 messages and for some reason my modem disconnects or there's a glitch in the midst of downloading them, say at message 15, the next time I download more mail, I get duplicates of the 15 messages already delivered from the last batch, plus the 5 that never made it. This is preferable to having the last 5 deleted at the ISP server before delivery. Maybe that's what's happening now and then? Regards, Terri
