Hello, I have been trying to keep up with the ever changing saga of the Locke/Eakins happenings and have been trying to determine who belongs to whom. John Eakins (md. Sally King) was a brother to my gg grandfather, George Eakins. I have 8 children for John and Sally--Elizabeth Ann, Martha Isabella, John J., Elijah King, Eliza, Felix George (Grundy), Elmira (Ella), and Joseph William. I do have the spouses listed for most as well as children. I have been trying to determine John Locke (son of Elizabeth Ann and John Locke) and Sarah Philips children--Ann Elizabeth, Clarence, and Bell? Can anyone help out there? I also have the correct listing (I think) of the children of George Eakins and Sarah Melton that I would be happy to share. I never did find a will of George that would have given the children, but I do have a land deed transfer (from 1852) that his living children had to sign. There were 8 living children who signed it along with their spouses. One child, a daughter, had died by 1830. George and Sarah had 2 living daughters and 6 living sons.
