I'm looking for James Standley/Stanley b. c1787, MD who may have been in KY between 1810 and 1825. James and family settled in Pike Co., IL. Does anyone know of an Indian massacre of a Stanley family in this time period? Some cousins recall a family tale that James was a survivor of a massacre and moved on to IL by 1830. I'm skeptical but need to track down this tale. Mary in WI
