Migrated to the area from Orange County, North Carolina between 1850 and 1852 possibly with brothers named William and Henry DOSSETT. Chesley married Margaret Jane BROWN, daughter of William and Mary (Cummins) Brown, sister of Robert and Alexander BROWN on Jun. 10, 1852 in Henderson, Kentucky. In 1860 lived in Cairo P.O., Henderson County. In 1870 lived in Shiloh Pct., Union County. In 1880 lived in Henderson County. Chesley died in in 1893 and is buried in Smith Mills Cemetery, Henderson County. Children: William H. DOSSETT, born 1853. James Lambert DOSSETT, born 1855.
