Hi all... I am transcribing the 1905 marriages of Webster County and today I came across a consent note that was filmed completely out of order. It is quoted below: >Consent note: "Providence, Webster Co, Ky.; Oct 15, 1898. >J.F. Porter, Clerk, Webster Co. Sir: I hereby authorize you >to issue license for my marriage to J.R. Bruce of this county. >I am 37 years of age, and reside in Webster Co. Ky. Yours Resp., >T.K. ? Att: J.R. Bruce, Sarah J. Doris" I checked Webster County marriages 1860-1900 and found the following marriage: >Marriage: J.R. Bruce to Miss S.J. Doris 16-Oct-1898 It appears the bride signed her note in the wrong place but I have seen that before. I could not decipher the last name of T.K. ? I will eventually find a place to put this information on the Webster County page but thought I would place it here in a "holding pattern" for the time being. btw, I have no connection with the Bruce or Doris surnames.
