I never heard of the "pest house". John Curran Brown worked at the County Farm, and then was injuried or became ill. He spent the rest of his life at the County Farm and was buried there in April 1946. A cousin of mine tried to find the cemetery, but it had been bulldozed. He went to the Attorney General, because it is a Class D Felony to destroy graves, but was largely ignored. Is there a John Curran Brown on the list? He was white.
