    3. I am aware each Kentucky county keep their records in different places and in different formats. I am looking for the records that would be for the Orphans and Apprentices along with the deeds. I have been to both the library and the court house with much luck either time. I don't beleive anyone from Genealogical Society was at the court house the day I visited because the worker who kept coming in the room knew little about the records. I was wondering in the Genealogical Society had copies of the records in there room or was the records stored in the library and I did not see it? I need any records to verify what land Phillip Majors (born abt. 1780-90 and died 1845/46) own, verify the name of his wife, and try to get additional information on his 5-6 children. I live close enoungh to Henderson that doing research is not a problem, just knowing where to go is. I just know right now I have tax records, censuses, and a Orpahan & Aprrentices list, that need to be backed up. Amy Dunn

    3. My name is Nancy and I work at the Henderson Library. We have a booklet, "Orphans & Indentured Servants in Henderson, Kentucky". I checked it today for a master named Phillip Majors. There is not anyone by that name listed. In answer to your other inquiry, we have tax records and census on microfilm here at the library. There is almost always someone upstairs in the genealogy section from 9-5:30 daily who would be glad to help you. Let me know if you need more information.
