I have a George Ellis "Ellis", aka "Jake" Spencer who was married to my great aunt-- Birdie Mae "Birkie Jake" Eakins about 1904. I do not know the marriage place. Birdie was previously married to Julius Elmus "Buz" Denton bef Jul 1903. Birdie's father (my g grandfather) -- Enoch George Eakins-- had made out a will dated July 31, 1903 and his children were listed. Birdie was listed as Birdie Denton in the will. Birdie and Buz were divorced; she and George Ellis did have a male child about 1920 named for his father, but the child died. This child is not listed in the KY births or deaths so I am assuming the child was perhaps stillborn, or premature and not registed. Buzz Denton married Emily Royster after Birdie.
