They lived in Spottsville, KY but most of the family records were carried away in the 1937 flood. Other that Oscar, there was Lloyd (my husband's father) Thomas, J.C., Tots (real name may have been Margaret), Manuel, and more. Many are buried in the Carter Cemetery in Henderson County in the Beals, Spottsville area. Alonzo's father was Henry, and Henry's father was Abraham. Abraham was apparently born in SC and married Mary Willoby in 1852 in Smith County TN. I haven't found anything past Abraham. I believe that Abraham was killed by Union soldiers in the Civil war.
