Ligon died Friday 29 November 1963, age 68, of 2617 N Grove. Funeral home: Tapp. Calvary Assembly of God. Native of Webster County, Kentucky. Wife: Verna. Sons: Garland, Lawrence and Vernon, all of Montgomery, Alabama. Stepdaughters: Mrs. Geo Snelling, Evansville and Mrs. Eugene Karasch, Winona, Minn. 1/2 brother: Tom Holeman. 1/2 sisters: Mrs. John Webster, Henderson, Mrs. Florence Small, Tipton, Indiana and Mrs. Fannie Markham, Bowling Green, Kentucky. 12 grandchildren. Also, there is an obituary @ Browning for a George Clifford Snelling Sr, wife's name, Theda maiden name Waide. I know these don't match up but there could be misspellings in both obits. Snelling and Shelling, Theda and Thelma. Maybe if this should turn out to be a right person, Verna's first husband might have been a Waide. Just something for you to think about.
