KY. The first wife of Samuel Farrar Williams [1759 NC-ca 1838 KY] was Hannah Sneed, dau. of Samuel Sneed. She probably died in Henderson Co. because later, ca 1813, Samuel Farrar Williams married the widow of David Stephens, his neighbor on Lot 23, Licking Creek. The widow's name was Elizabeth, but her maiden name is unknown. David Stephens and his sister Catherine Stephens, later Mrs. George Sprinkle, purchased part of Lot 23 in 1799 from the Purviances' heirs. Refer to Henderson Co. Deed books.)
