Hi-- I am at a dead end trying to locate a death date on a Melissa Gibson-- wife of Beury Washington Eakins. I have dates of 1860-1936 for Melissa. Beury died in Pike CO., IN, at his son Harvey "Pete" Eakins's house and is buried in Springdale Cem in Webster. Death dates on BW are Apr 24, 1948. I contacted the Pike CO health dept thinking that Melissa and BW might have been living with their son when she died, but they have no record of a Melissa Eakins from 1935-1937. And I cannot find her death in the KY death records-- although it could be listed under a different spelling. There was an obit for BW, and I was wondering if there is an obit for Melissa somewhere. I think the two of them are buried in the same place. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks so much.
