His father, David, apparently died at a relatively young age so it has been difficult to trace him. I do remember, however, my father saying that we were distantly related to the other Elams in Henderson. It is my impression that when Richard Elam moved from Virginia to Henderson it was because an uncle or great-uncle was living there. I will be glad to share what information I have about my family.
