    3. Dear Researchers, I am researching the above family names. In particular, Nathaniel G. Carr and Rebecah B. Finch married in 1816, don't know if this was in Henderson Co., but it was on a piece of paper in my grandmother's bible and she was Nannye Edwards Shofner (1889-1966), resident of Webster and Henderson co., married to Doc Shofner (1880-1965) and daughter of John Edwards and Fannie Callender. I know lots of Edwards-Eakins information from other wonderful researchers, but need help on this Callender line. Will post more specific details later if no replies come forward. His father, David, apparently died at a relatively young age so it has been difficult to trace him. I do remember, however, my father saying that we were distantly related to the other Elams in Henderson. It is my impression that when Richard Elam moved from Virginia to Henderson it was because an uncle or great-uncle was living there. I will be glad to share what information I have about my family. 3. Hi Cousins, friends, fellow researchers... I'll fill in for Betty. But she really isn't going anywhere. I'm not as knowledgeable about the area as Betty is and I do live a long way off, but I can manage a list and coordinate things about as well as anyone. So if you have any problems or questions just let me know. If I can't help we'll find somebody who can. You may not hear a lot from me, but I am here. Jim BTW... Betty is one of my favorite people, if it had not been for Betty, I would never have been a KYGenWeb Volunteer. Even though there have been some potholes in the road (mainly USGenWeb potholes) I thoroughly enjoy doing the Henderson County Site. Thank you Betty BTW2... I am always looking for things to add to the site. If anyone has anything they would like to add let me know.
