    1. Re: marriage Denton Ipock
    2. Crockett, Denton/ Julia Ipock March 19, 1896 in Henderson, Ky. I got copy's from the court house while I was there so maybe write to the co. Clerk? I found a James B. Denton born Oct 9, 1870 and died Sep 9, 1933 who's parent were listed as H. C. Denton and Cerena Ipock which much be a typing error. Also Richard D. Denton born Sep 29 1903 and died Nov 19 1975. He was a son of David C. and Julia Ipock buried in Hopkins Co. the informant was Amanell Casteel. James B. was buried in Smith Mill Cem. and it states that Cerena ( which I think is Julia) was born in Tn. The inormant for James B. was L.L. Denton. Hope this helps. 2. Hi, I have a book that list cemetery and grave plots in Henderson and found no Kellen buried in Smith Mills Cem. or in none of the other cem., however I did find some death records with the surname of Kellen, but not the one you are looking for because they didn't start keeping death records in Ky until 1911. 1. Pittcock
    2. Has anyone run upon a Steve PITTCOCK around Reed Ky for the years 1880-1889? I have my great grandfathers death certificate( James Tillman (PITTCOCK) SUTTON and it lists his birth parents as Steve Pittcock and ----Neal. I have newspaper accounts of the his automobile accident(lots of them, it must have been big news in 1926) and the adoptive father tells that the birth father died shortly after the birth of James, who was born 3 Nov 1886. My grandfather remembers his father saying he was adopted when he was a baby so I have been searching for the records between 1886-1889 with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Misti

    3. Mary, Many thanks for your very prompt reply. According to the KY web site for Vital Statistics they have death records 1911 and later. I called them to be sure, and they suggested I contact Henderson County. So I tried (unsuccessfully) the County Court Clerk office, who said they didn't have death records for 1878. They suggested I contact the Corner's office. So I called the Corner, got the answering service and left a message requesting they call me back. It's quite a chase. Let me know if you have any more suggestions. regards.
