Mona, thanks for swift reply. I will ask Mom in the am about her memories of Polly, as I am sure she has some. I think I have written down all I can get, but never know if this will be a good reminder. Your cousin must be Doug Thompson. I have not met him, but I have heard his name mentioned often over the years. I think I have a photo of a soldier with a rifle he says is one of our Thompsons, but I don't know if it is certain. Do you know of that one? I was at a Thompson reunion at Cub Run 8-10 yrs ago. A lot has changed since then. An aunt, Nina Thompson Surface was there and she is now in a nursing home in Lsvl with something like Alzheimers. Mom can't travel any more and an aunt by marriage has died. But I always tried to take pictures and ask questions. Mostly, people tried to learn from me! I have been trying to collect data for about 35 yrs. Keep my e-mail address and we can keep in touch.
