To all, Wow, did I stir up something! Yes, the tax tecords are on microfilm at the State Archives in Frankfort on Coffeetree Road. I found the records for 1819-1875. The index says they exist through 1892 which will help. The early entries name only the head of h/h and the number of horses, cows and slaves. Later entries ask for the number of children in a h/h between 5-16 and later 5-20. The early records are in one book. Later records are North and South of Green River. Some of the last ones I saw began dividing the county into Tax Districts. At the rear of some of the books is an entry regarding some who are blind or crippled. I found on one page William G. Robertson (probable son of Daniel) who is said to have married Luraney (Mary S. or L.) Atterberry, daughter of Richard J. I'm glad to know the records are in the LDS records. I just thought I'd get the word out that they exist as generally we are told there are no records after the First Court Order Book and the 1819 tax records. I'll transcribe what I have and get it posted. Also, check the deed books. During 1928, after the fire, many of the old deeds were rerecorded. I had just gotten to those when the library closed. Using the rerecorded deeds may give us locations and some names to help fill in the deep well of the missing 1890 census. Also, does anyone have access to the 1920 census of Hart County? Marguerite
