Researching Robert and Martha (Patton) Carter who came from Halifax Co, NC to Hart Co. in early 1800s. Robert died ca1824 and Martha later. Are there cemetery listings for these Carters? Most of their children were married in KY and later moved to Sangamon/Menard Co., IL by 1840. Also researching William Mathews the Baptist minister of 1800-1820s. And, trying to identify the parents and siblings of Goldsby Davis who was in the area about the same time period. His family also moved to Illinois.
