I have a mystery that some of you may be able to help me solve. My Grandmother was a resident of Hart County. I know the date of her marriage to George W. Newton (2-14-1892) but I cannot find a record of it. Where do you suggest I look? I thought of church but don't know which one to try. She was a member of Little Jordon Church until about 3 years before her marriage. I don't know where she went from there. Her parents (Edward and Mary Doyle Denison) seems to have left Little Jordon about the same time. She talked a lot about Little Jordon and I have no memory of Grandma ever saying anything about another church before she moved to Louisville in the early 1900's and joined Highland Park Baptist. I called Highland Park to see if there was a record of her moving her membership from another church but someone threw out all the old records thinking they were useless. I will be grateful for any suggestions.
