Willliam M. Tapscott was shot by an african-american man, whom Mr. Tapscott had had difficulty with in his store before. From the article I got from the Glasgow paper, it states the man jumped a train out of town. The investigation was still ongoing. As far as checking the Kentucky vital statistics, I have done this. There is no record of his death, even though his grandson, my father-in-law, states that his father always talked about it. I have now found where he was buried, in the Northtown Church Cemetery. I would still like to find an obituary if one exists. Did Hart Co. have a newspaper in 1920? Any help would be appreciated. Cathie Tapscott
