    1. [KYHART-L] Note from the list admin
    2. Edward Reynolds
    3. Hello all I hope each of you are well and enjoying the summer weather. On Monday this week I visited the library in Greenburg, in Green CO KY. It is were the historical society keeps its material. One thing that struck me is that they have a enormous amount of info on Hart CO surnames. If you have hit the brick wall in Hart and have not checked out Green CO then I would suggest a visit to this resource. The folks there are very friendly and helpful. Many of the surnames that are posted to this list have tons of info there. Keep on diggin Edward

    3. Hi, I have a copy of a picture of Berry Perry and his wife, Elizabeth Moss Perry. Their granddaughter, Pauline, is also in the picture. Elizabeth Moss Perry is the sister of my gg grandfather, Phillip Moss. I have pics of him also and his father, William F. Moss. I have a copy of a tin-type of Oliver Perry. He is a nephew of Phillip Moss, so that means he is the son of one of Phillip's siblings. Please help me fill out this part of the family. I will be glad to scan and send copies of any of the pictures I have. I have a story about Oliver as he was growing up. Thanks, D. 1. [KYHART-L] Roll Call/LOGSDON
    2. Hello, I'm relatively new to this list-- Thanks and farewell to Angela-- Welcome and good luck to Edward-- My one and only surname search in Hart Co. (at least at this point in time) is for Logsdon, Paul. I've been on the list for a couple of months now, and after 15 years of searching-- I'm not sure that I'm any closer. Although there seems to be a Logsdon in most listers family groups-- no one has been able to determine if the "Paul" I'm searching for is connected. So, I've been at a brick wall for about 15 years. Problem is Paul evidently didn't want to leave clear tracks to his history and life-- Basically, he worked for the railroad-- I would guess one that ran through Forrest City, AR (Iron Mountain, etc.) He was born in 1885, or thereabouts in KY according to my mother's birth cert. By 1911 he must have married ANNIE WOLFF of Forrest City, AR; by 1912, they were living in St. Louis, MO with Logsdon relatives (cousins/uncles) and he was working as a brakeman for the railroad. In Aug., 1912 he and Annie had a dau., Pauline, born at the Maternity Hospital, St. Louis. At this point-- the trail ends-- he evidently abandoned his wife and dau. somewhere around 1913 or 1914, and Annie died in 1915 in Memphis, TN. If anyone has a Logsdon that matches any of the above information, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Surely, if his birthdate is narrowed down to the late 1880s, this would be the key information. Regards, Maribette Sifford (dau. of Pauline Logsdon)

    3. Saw this obituary on a Miller County, Missouri list and thought it might be a missing family connection for someone on KYHART. Several of my BASTIN and ATWELL relatives also moved from Hart County, KY to Miller County, MO around the time just before the Civil War. (Evidently, there were several families that moved around the same time, perhaps as a group.) -- Gary Bastin Palm Bay, FL (formerly of Horse Cave, Hart County, KY) BASTIN Family Website http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Prairie/9714/ ----- Original Message ----- From: <MJames7376@aol.com> To: <MOMILLER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 09, 2000 4:27 PM Subject: [MOMILLER-L] Elizabeth E. Try a search on DogPile.com or Altavist.com for genealogy & druin, if you are not successful and still interested, email me and i'll look for the email list where you will find this info.
