    2. Yes, that would be perfect! Someone suggested a Census lookup to me yesterday. Oh Thank you! I was thinking maybe obtaining a marriage certificate but I am not sure how. I think they were married in 1939. Thank you again.           Lisa

    2. Lisa, Planning a trip next week to a National Archive. Would a 1920 census be of any help to you on James Maxwell Hensley? Hensley or Young should be fairly easy to look up in contrast to my Hugh Hall (b1835 d1896) family in Hart County. Carolyn

    1. [KYHART-L] Hart County Census Books
    2. Hollie Perkins
    3. Hello list, I've just returned from my day in Hart Co. I'm sad to say the no longer sell the census books. Mary said they just don't have the money to buy them. But you can buy them from Bond County Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 172, Greenville, Illinois 62246-0172. Mary said they cost about 35.00 or so. I did find some helpful information there. An everyone who told me about Mary was right, She is very helpful and a sweet lady. I did buy some stuff from the historical society but I don't believe it will help anyone. Unless you would like some recipes. But it does have some interesting information about the history of Hart County. I really had a wonderful time in Munfordville, today I took the walking around Old Munfordville Tour, I found that pretty interesting. 2. Do you know the approximate area in Hendricks County where the grandmother lived/lives. I was born and raised in that county around the Danville area and still know many people still living in those old neighborhoods. My parents settled there in the late 1920's when everyone knew everyone else.

    2. Oh Thank you! I am at such a loss. I have done the Houk side which is James Maxwell Hensley`s wife`s side, but it`s just not complete without his side too. I am wondering if his parents died when he was very young and that is why Freida Young raised him. Would a marriage certificate say who his parents were? Bless everyone who is helping me on this, I would really like to keep this family together even after death. James was the nicest man I have ever met, he used to call me Pal. Before I had my son, we found out James had cancer and the doctor only gave him a few months to live, we told him that same week I was pregnant and he prayed that God let him stay on this earth just long enough to see his last GGrandchild born. He died 1 month to the day my son was born. We named my son after his father`s first name and his middle name is Maxwell after James. We call him Max. It is so sad that Max never knew such a Good man. I Thank everyone who is trying to help me on my quest, I really want to keep James`s memories alive not only for my children, but for generations to come. Thank You again.   Lisa

It may list a place to look for relatives in addition to his parents names. Also, it helps to check all adjoining counties. You might be surprised at what turns up. Good Luck, C. Ballard

    3. The Hart County Public Library has a more organized listing than the Hart County Historical Society. I found a lot of repetition on the listings at the Society. 3. You must send an email to KYHART-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM, from the email address you subbed from with the word "unsubscribe" in the text of the message, with no other text in the message, including signatures. .I have looked and this email address does not appear on the sub list. The messages I have form your attempts show that your name is not on the list. That is why it is not removing them. If you were in digest mode simply, you would send the email to KYHAR-D-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM. I see you have tried twice, with the same result. Have you changed your email address. It can't remove it if not the exact same. Let me know any other email addresses that might have been used. If no other address have been used, then I will have to contact someone at rootsweb.
