Hello I am Edward Reynolds, and I have many Hart CO KY family members. I descend from Edward and Celia (FUQUA) REYNOLDS, who removed to (what was to become) HART CO sometime between 1805 and 1820. His son, Willis (Johnson?) REYNOLDS married Maranda GOODMAN. Willis and Maranda, and lived in HART except for a short time in KNOX ILL. Willis and Maranda were the parents of Willis Johnson REYNOLDS, who married Irene Bell JOHNSON. They lived in HART and had Willis Rowlett REYNOLDS, who married Amanda Susan Weaver PERKINS. Rowlett and Amanda moved to SCOTT CO MO where Amanda became ill. They returned to HART where she died. They had Willis Franklin Reynolds before returning. Rowlett remarried a RUCKER and moved back to SCOTT CO MO where my he lived until his death. His son Willis Franklin REYNOLDS was my grandfather. Looking to here from all interested. Edward Reynolds
Vanessa - Have you spoken with Sam Redding? e-mail: [email protected] He is also descended from Phoebe Bush Reynolds. If you have not been in touch with him, I can forward some info. I am descended from Dorcas Bush, a confirmed daughter of Thomas and Lydia Bush. Sam now believes that Phoebe is another daughter of Thomas and Lydia. -- Mr. Tracy J. She was married in 1829 to Dr. Joseph Boyer Reynolds and I find them, as a newlywed couple-no children, in the 1830 Hart Co census. They are living near Joseph's father's and brother's families (Nathaniel and Nathaniel Reynolds Jr). Also living nearby are the following Bush families: Hardin Bush age 20-30 Henry Bush age 50-60 Landon Bush age 20-30 John Bush age 40-50 Lydia Bush (a widow?) age 40-50 Henry Bush would be the right age as would the widow, Lydia Bush. John Bush could possibly be a candidate as well but Landon and Hardin Bush are more in the "brother" age range. There are several of us who descend from different children of Joseph and Phoebe, who have been seeking her parents for a very long time and have been unable to tie her into any of the local Bush families. Joseph and Phoebe did name their eldest son William Tandy Reynolds and I've tried the Tandy-Bush connections but nothing solid there either. I am hoping someone out there may hold somemore clues. I've wondered if Phoebe is actually a middle name and not her given name and perhaps that's helping to stump us. Does anyone out there have a Bush daughter/sister from this area that no one knows what happened to her? Phoebe died ca 1842, we think in Hardin Co. Are there any Bush wills that list grandchildren by the name of Reynolds, from a deceased daughter? Thanks in advance for any help! Hello! I have been told my great great grandfather Gabriel Reynolds is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery. I am not sure if it is in Hart County or not. I have thought this for years, maybe I was told that and forgot. Does anyone on this list know if Maple Grove Cemetery is in Hart County? Do you know if there is a list of burials there? Also, Wilkerson Church Cemetery in Kessinger is where my great grandfather Shadrack Reynolds, is buried without a headstone. Does anyone know if there is a list of burials there ? OR what type of methodist church is it now? I would like to track down some of the records from the church between 1860 - 1900. Brenda Reynolds Sears
