For those completely baffled by this message, we have been working toward resurrecting a classic book by William Perrin titled "The History of Bourbon, Scott, Harrison and Nicholas Counties." The project has been an outstanding success in that the books are now being printed and will be ready for shipment some time in mid-August. If you would like to read more about the Perrin book, check out my special web site at: http://www.shawhan.com/book.html Also, I want to remind everyone that I'm currently doing research on another project that should be of great interest to researchers of Bourbon County, Kentucky. Next year, I will publish a book titled "Early Families of Bourbon County, Kentucky: 1775-1820." I believe the book will become a classic for Bourbon County genealogists. My vision is to present a history and genealogy of many of the early families, incorporating genealogical data as well as biographical sketches and historical information culled from a multitude of sources: Perrin's History, Julia Ardery's research, E. Polk Johnson's "The History of Kentucky and Kentuckians," the "Early Bourbon Families" articles which appeared in the Kentuckian-Citizen, Paris, Kentucky newspaper from 1944-46, family genealogies such as "The Bedford Family of Virginia" by Billy Ray Bedford and Luetta Bedford Kirker, genealogies from many of you, and much, much more. The book will be approximately 900-1000 pages in length. If you have families that settled in Bourbon County, Kentucky between 1775-1820, I would LOVE to hear from you.
