Carolyn, Jonathan MARSH b. 1769 PA or VA m. in Harrison Co., KY 1800 Mary METZ b. 1780 PA This couple moved in the 1830's to Boone Co., IN. Parents of Jonathan were William and Elizabeth (THARP) MARSH, m. 1763 Cumberland Co., PA. The MARSH family (Quaker) came from Ireland to eastern PA ca. 1735. Ca. 1750 they settled in York Co., PA. Between 1763 and 1770 they moved to Culpeper/(Rappahannock) Co., VA. MARSH and THARPs removed from there to Bourbon/(Harrison)Co., KY in 1784 and settled in what became western Harrison Co., KY - Raven and Twin/Mill Creek area. Jonathan MARSH bought land in the Twin Creek area in 1802. It's likely he's a neighbor of the DICKSONs. There seems to be a notable number of PA/northern MD or PA/VA people in Harrison Co.
