    1. [KYHARRIS-L] turkey - close enuf to spit on!
    2. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~cpalmer/turkey.htm Last week Carole, who lives in Lexington near Harrodsburg Road, told us about seeing a wild turkey in her back yard. Here's her tribute! I wish I'd see one at Mallard Point, but all we see are deer, gophers, raccoons, possum, ground hogs, and birds, ducks and geese of every shape and form. Carole is the lady who suffered thru my initial growing pains of setting up the county pages, and helped me a lot. Jo

    1. [KYHARRIS-L] Hinkson, Ewalt, Ravenscroft, Shawhan, Miller, Humble, Culp, Quarles, et.al.
    2. Bob, and others, Check out the URL below. Ancestry is offering FREE access to their military databases until Nov 17. I found some very interesting information on some familiar HARRISON County names. I recognize these names from queries posted in the past. Unfortunately, none of them are mine. However, I hope this helps someone. If you log on to the URL below, go to the bottom of the list of databases and you will find the source of this information - Virginia Soldiers of 1776, Vol. 1 - and there is more information that what I've included here. 2. I searched Ancestry.com for Jediah ASHCRAFT. Sixteen references in 6 different GEDCOMs were listed in the Ancestry Family Tree (that's one of the free databases). I have looked at 3 files so far. Two are very similaras if someone sent in an updated tree. They appear to go down the line of Jediah ASHCRAFT m. Sarah ? and s/o Ichabod ASHCRAFT and Rachel. The other one so to grandchildren of Jediah and Sarah. Russell's g-grandparents, Mary Ann ASHCRAFT and Dotson BAKER were there. I also saw YOUNGER RACE Ravenscraft which I have seen on several lists. I will cut and paste some family groups in several different messages. Pat

    1. [KYHARRIS-L] Francis Robinson
    2. Would just like to say Hello to everyone on the list. I am new to this so if I make mistakes, just tell me. My interest is information on Francis Robinson. Francis was born in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia on March 2, 1765, and died in Harrison Co. on December 31, 1840. At the time of his death he was living on Ravens Creek, near what was then called Stringtown. I would very much like to know if any one knows of this family. On a recent trip to Harrison Co, I tried to find the area where he lived as there is a family graveyard on the property. There are supposed to be several people buried there, but his was the only one marked. Whether that means it was marked with a stone bearing his name, or just a stone I have no idea. I found the cemetary of his son Benjamine Robinson. If anyone could be of help to me I would sure appreciate it. Francis is my ggggrandpa. Sarah, the daughter of Francis married an Arthur G. McCann and that is how I come into the Robinson family. Nancy

If it weren't for people like her and Phillip Naff (who did the Harrison County precincts) this kind of thing would never get typed up there. The book type is quite small and I have to enlarge it on the copier before I can type it out without getting a massive headache. Jo
