JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON GERALD DAY FROM THE MIDDLETOWN (OH) JOURNAL 10/31/08 Gerald B. Day, Age 82, of Fairfield, OH passed away on October 30, 2009, at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Yancey, KY on October 19, 1926, the son of Russell and Grace (Ballinger) Day. He served in the US Army from November 1944 to August 1946. He married Audrey Carpenter on November 4, 1944, in Millville, OH. He was employed as General Foreman by Fisher Body in Fairfield for 34 years, retiring in 1982. He is survived by his wife; a son, Eric Day and wife Ellen of Pickerington, OH; two daughters, Debbie Day of Cincinnati, OH and Edie Greene and husband Bill of Oxford, OH; a brother, Ora Day and wife Iva Mae of Seven Mile, OH; a sister, Ruth Turner and husband Tom of Millville; six grandchildren, Michael Day, Amie Greene, Maggie Greene, John Greene, Emily Greene and Lisa Greene; one great grandchild, Weston Day. He was preceded in death by his parents. Grave Side Services will be held on November 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Darrtown Cemetery with Rev. Charles Staudenmaier offici! ating. Visitation will be November 2, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 NW Washington Blvd., Hamilton, OH. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45013.
