JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON CORBIN CORNETT SR FROM THE HAMILTON (OH) JOURNAL-NEWS 10/3/08 Corbin Cornett Sr. age 84 of Fairfield, OH formerly of Ross, OH passed away on October 1, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. He was born on August 2, 1924 in Cumberland, KY, the son of Wilson and Mary Dovie (Hall) Cornett. He graduated from high school in Cumberland and served in the United States Army during WWII. On July 10, 1946 in Cumberland, KY he married the love of his life, Margaret H. Disney. Corbin worked for Fischer Body as an inspector for 21 years retiring on January 1, 1987. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Fairfield Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife Margaret Cornett, two sons Corbin (Janie) Cornett, Jr. of Fairfield, OH and Roger Dale (Janine) Cornett of Boise, ID, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one sister Martha Lewis of Cumberland, KY and other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Oscar, Delbert, Robert and Lester and three sisters Polly, Lura and Lulu. Visitation will be! held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, OH on October 5, 2008 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on October 6, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with ministers Dan Knisely of Westside Church of Christ and David Hargrave of Fairfield Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park.
