He had a wife named Mary Jane Alford and showed in Harlan County, in 1930. He was a coal miner. He was precded in death by wife Mary Jane and children: Earl, Flora Beatrice, Mary Elizabeth, and John Riley Jr. He was survived by daugher Georiga Fee, who married Uylesses Fee. John Jr. died in Dec. 1971. Where? Who was his wife and children, apparently 13. Also surviving John Sr was wife SArah Owens, who was probably from Harlan County.
