But you need to go to the library to use it. However, some libraries also subscribe to HeritageQuest. You can use your library card to access from home. They have census records and more. I used to belong to ancestry but they got too expensive and I quit at the same time I belonged to genealogy.com. I liked ancestry better. You have a choice to select "exact or Soundex" on ancestry where HeritageQuest you have to have exact. Milly WARD Piros Thanks Milly i did not know the library may offer this service, although i may have to go 20 miles into the bigger city..our little town has a huge library and offers no class or programs..but i will ask when i go Sat for the organization on genealogy ... this class happens to be even further away. deb **************Start the year off right. 3. Debbie, that is a good suggestion. I can use Heritage Quest from home through my public library and my card is my password. You could ask your library if they have it. Another good free site is www.myheritage.com. They have free stuff and things that are not free. www.gencircles.com is a good site to look for other people working on the same families as you are and www.rootsweb.com is a very good free site with a lot of archives and it does have search engines.
