    3. from the Dickey Diaries, account of Wood Lyttle: "Paroled on the 6th of August 1890 "Devil Jim" and his son Hiram went west to the state of Washington. Sometime after early 1909 James suffered a stroke and fell into a wood stove, suffering burns from which he died in Toledo, Washington. A descendant of his son Hiram says that, "They found $800 stuffed in one of his shoes when he died." "Devil Jim" is buried in the Toledo Cemetery. Hope this helps!     3. We actually found the cemetery online he is buried in with several of his sons and their children. It was the Fir Lawn Cemetery in Toledo, Lewis County, Washington.
