This person has been searching this line for some time as well. Her husband is the GG grandson of Thomas Martin, his mother is one of Williams children... Mandy second husband. Its believed that Mandy married Thomas, they joined two families and lived in Tenn. Later apparently Thomas adopted the Turner kids, except for Etta . Probably because she was already out of the home...not sure on this. Mandy died Jan 9th, 1951 and Thomas are both buried in Orme Cemetery, in tenn. Gladys died 12-22-02 and is buried there as well. I have made some headway.. but in talking to some others, i still return to Harlan for a Turner for Mandys first marriage. But then i could be wrong. Thanks Darlene and Barbara for all the help. 3. Debbie, I found an Amanda married to a Henry Turner in Harlan County, but the children were not with them. I am going to send you the two James H. Turner documents and then I will find that Amanda and Henry Turner and see if I can find the children in 1910. My theory is that Amanda was a Turner also.
