JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON LOUIS DAY FROM THE HAMILTON (OH) JOURNAL-NEWS 1/22/09 Louis C. Day, Age 91, of Brookville, IN died January 19, 2009 at his home. He was born in Harlan County, KY on January 17, 1918, the son of Joseph and Nancy (Browning) Day. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving from October 3, 1942 to October 19, 1945 with Company C, 55th Armored Engineer Battalion. He had been employed as a welder-maintenance man at Fisher Body, for 30 years, retiring in 1980. He married Linda Roberts on November 11, 1945 in London, KY and she preceded him in death on March 29, 1998. He married Thelma Brashear on July 29, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Thelma; two daughters, Sandra Begley and Lanny Tucker of Reily, OH and Susan Howard and husband Harold of Ashland, KY; ten sons, Dan Day and wife, Linda of Cincinnati, OH, Wayne Day and wife Peggy of Reily, Gary Day and fiancée', Ann Howell of Connersville, IN, Michael Day and wife, Treasa of Oxford, OH, Terry Day and wife, Jeanette of Liberty, IN, Maurice Day and wife Cheri of Hamilton, OH, Mark Day! and wife, Linda of White Salmon, WA, Louis E. Day and wife, Debby of Hamilton, Richard Day of College Corner, OH and Lionel Day and wife Jo Ann of Fairfield, OH; three step children, Michael Brashear, Carolyn Lay and Barbara Quinlan all of Brookville, IN; thirty grandchildren; thirty four great grandchildren and a brother, William Day of Franklin, OH. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Henry, Abner, Kellis, John, Riley and Elmo and two sisters, Becky Grey and Louise Poff. Funeral services will be held January 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Rev. Estil Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Reily Cemetery.
