He did not raise them but for a little while. I know at one time mom and aunt Catherine lived with him and Mae but they were only small children. Mom is his oldest child then Aunt Catherine. I know Charles and Sue they took me to Florida with them when I was young. I never got to know any of the other children so I'm not real sure how many there was. I've heard my speak of Janie and one other son but I'm not real sure about his name. We knew Uncle Jim and Aunt Cora they used to visit mom alot. Sadly to say we grew up not really knowing any of moms family. We only knew grandpa for a short time, he taught my little girl how to ride a bike. I have some pictures that uncle Jim gave us scanned on my computer at home if you would like me to send them to you I can. We have one of Isom and Minnie holding Grandpa when he was a baby. A couple of Grandpa and his brothers, uncle Jim and Aunt Cora. Just send me a email address wher! e I can forward them to. We have been working on the family tree. what we have is that Annie Harris was married to William Henry Noe then married Carlos Short. She was Isom Noe's Mother. James Metcalf was Minnie's Father and Flora Creech was her mother. Our confusion is on Minnie's mother. I would love to see a picture of Annie Harris or any of our relatives.
