    3. For one thing, you can not count on the middle initial's being right. Just because there is no middle intial on the marriage index does not mean that is not him. This marriage record has no middle intial. but I am 99.9 percent sure that it is the right Johnnie Saylor and John Howard; I have the index's to all the Saylor marriage's in Harlan Co. from the first Index book, right here in my home. All you have to do is call the Harlan County Clerk's office and they will look it up for you, if you know the names, the book and the page; To see what the parents names are on the marriage certificate. I do it all the time, it is much easier and quicker that way. I will call them tomorrow and get the answer. There is a marriage record for them in Harlan County in 1920.Thatdoes help that he has a middle initial. Now I can look for a John D. Howard. That eliminates John Henry Howard and John Jacob Howard. 3. I know that is the right marriage record. I just haven't found the right John Howard. If you know which one he is, I would like to know too. I was not doubting the marriage record in any way.
