She was born July 17, 1918 in Harlan County and had lived her all her life. Bessie was a homemaker and a member of the Clover Fork Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Zion Flanary and Martha Payne Flanary; her husband, Ansell Lee Bush; four sons, Clyde Bush, Cecil Bush, Marvin Bush and wife Gracie, and Bobby Bush and wife Audrey Geneva; a granddaughter, Judy Bush; and a host of brothers and sisters. Bessie is survived by a daughter, Doris E. Clark and husband Harry, of Lejunior; a son, Ralph Bush and wife Peggy Lynn, of Jonesville, VA; six grandsons: Roger Bush, Jeffery Bush, Brian Bush, Terry Wayne Bush, Jerry Bush and Roy Lee Bush; five granddaughters: Lola Bush, Doris Lynn Bush, Norma Bush, Angela Bush and special granddaughter, Shontay Boyce; and a special niece, Wanda G. Maggard and husband Robert, of Keokee, VA. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Evarts Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the Clover Fork Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at the church 1 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Mike Blair, Rev. Jack Ed Ford and Rev. Robert Maggard officiating. Burial will follow at the Daughtery Cemetery at Holmes Mill with friends serving as pallbearers.
