Janet Nolan posted to this thread, and said that the James Metcalf that was married to Amy/Annie Creech, is not the same that was married to Anna Harris. That at least clears some things up, because it was hard trying to consign our James Metcalf to both marriages. Our James and Anna Harris Metcalf were divorced and she remarried a gentleman named Carlow (Carlo) Short. We have a portrait of Anna Harris Metcalf Short taken around 1924. My husband couldn't remember having a cousin named Ethel. I know Charles (married to Sue Massengale) and Jane (married to Orville Overton) that are also Elijah's children.
