Karen, I found this John A. Saylor b. 1833 in the Harlan County 1880 Census and he has a son named Silas the right age. This must be the same John Saylor. I had him as John G. Saylor, but that must not be correct. He is living by Wilson Saylor and I believe that is his brother. So Silas W. Saylor who married Mary Green must be his son. Do you think this is correct? Here is the census 280/283 Saylor, John A. 47 KY Sarah 48 KY Andrew 17 KY Silas 16 KY Elizabeth 13 KY Lavina 6 KY On Feb 11, 2008 3:00 PM, Karen Bays <[email protected]> wrote: > This John Saylor's wife Sarah was not a Brock, but is to belived to be a > Simpson. > This was his 2nd marriage, he was married first to Esther Wilson. > He is the son of; Solomon C/Rebecca(Brock) Saylor. > > I have been also trying to place Silas W.
