Also your Tuner name fascinates me as my Father Ruie Adolphus Barnes was in the Navy and he had a close friend, one Chief Petty Officer named Turner who was stationed with him in Tampa Florida in the late forties and early fifties. Chief Turner often came to our house and dad spoke of him as a relative, either biological or honorary. As we always addressed him as "Chief Turner" I never knew his first name. Could he possible be a common kin? What do you think. Chief Turner was a career person as was my father, so he was likely in his fifties. That would have him born around the turn of the century (1900 - ten years more or less). Blessing on all your work. I got a lot of old pictures from her last year. Her dad is buried on Glade Park where my grandparents and great-grandparents are buried. The dust in the uranium mines is not quite as bad as the coal dust and they do spray it down with water. The radiation is monitored now and if it is above what it should be they shut the mine down. Coal mining is a lot more dangerous than any other kind of mining except maybe potash. There is a potash mine near Moab, Utah and it is so hot down there that the men can only work for a few hours at a time.
