Hospital. A native of Cumberland, he had lived in Closplint most of his life. He was a member of the UMWA and a disabled coal miner having worked at Arch of Kentucky and Shackleford Coal Company. He believed in the Baptist faith. O'Dean was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Hodge Hill and his father, Lee Clark. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Judy Bray Clark of Closplint; two children, Toby Clark and wife, Misty, of Mary Alice; Starla Ball and husband, Danny, of Dartmont; a sister, Joan Sullivan of Virginia; two half-sisters, Teresa and Sherry, both of Ocala, Florida; and a half-brother, Dorris Hill and his wife, Leah, of Frankfort. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kellie, Jacob and Kaylee Ball, all of Dartmont; a special niece, Melissa; a special nephew, Chris; a host of cousins and other family and friends. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 pm Sunday at the Evarts Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 pm in the chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Howard and the Rev. Carl Canterbury officiating. Burial will follow in the Short Cemetery at Holmes Mill. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
