JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON FRANCES FRYE FROM THE XENIA (OH) DAILY GAZETTE 2/21/08 Frances Irene Doan Frye, age 75, of Xenia, OH went to be with her Lord February 19, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Wallins Creek, KY, on March 4, 1932, one of 13 children born to Jarvis S. and Ella Maude (Howard) Doan. Irene was a member of the Northside Christian Church. Irene married Eugene R. Frye, Sr. on October 1, 1949. She was employed for over 25 years as office manager at the Gene Frye Insurance Agency, where she enjoyed working with her husband and son. She was very devoted to her family and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene R. Frye, Sr. in 1991; a son, Brian Edward Frye; and siblings: Milton Doan, Mary Elizabeth Blackburn, Rodney L. Doan, Marie E. Kovach, James C. Doan, Betty Lou McLaughlin, Jarvis S. Doan, and Margaret A. Davidson. Irene is survived by children: Debra (Steven) Leach of TN; Eugene R. (Laura) Frye, Jr. of Upper Arlington, OH; Conrad David Frye of Xenia, OH; A! dam (Mary) Frye of Boston, MA; grandchildren: Heather Frye, Jason Stafford, Jeffrey Stafford, Sean Stafford, Audrey Roach, Kathryn Bennett, Nicholas Leach, Danielle O'Brien, Chelsea Frye, Preston Frye, Hillary Frye, Henry Smith III, and AJ Frye; great- granddaughter: Bianca Roach; sisters: Lena Ruth Scott of Columbus, OH; Kathleen L. Moore of WV; Martha E. Farley of Xenia; and Linda S. Stewart of Ft. Wayne, IN; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM February 22, 2008 at the McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 North Detroit Street, Xenia, with Pastors Gary Robinson and Isaac Flora officiating. Internment to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends February 21, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
