In Colorado we have a family cemetery and we just bury people without asking anyone. It is free and lots of other people are buried there too. The families take care of it. I think it is the same in Kentucky in the family cemeteries. I have been noticing on the death certificates that sometimes it says buried by family. I couldn't find a death certificate for Malinda Fields. There were three, but two were black and they were not in Harlan County either.
