In the 1880 Harlan KY census, there is a Henry Day and a Henderson Day, both about the same age as Hiram Day. Parents of Henry are John & Catherine Day. Parents of Henderson Day are Baity & Sarah Day. In the 1900 census, Hiram Day is located in Lower Martins Fork. In the 1891 Harlan KY property tax listing, both John Day and Beaty Day also live in Martins Fork area. Additional Day's living in Martins Fork in the 1891 tax year are Wix, Newton, Daniel & Daniel jr. Day. Just some names for you to look at the families. Perhaps Sarah had a middle name that she might have been listed under in the 1900 census.
