Hi. Are any of you SAYLOR folks part of the SALYERS clan? SAYLOR is often a misspelling or accidental poor transcription of SALYER/SALYERS (original spelling of Salyers was the French "Saliers or Salliers")? I am NOT a descendant of Zachariah, that I know of. I have been able to trace my SALYERS back to Grant Co and that region of KY to about 1790. The courthouse in Lexington burned in 1800, so I have not been able to go back any further. However, a cousin who was a genealogist, thinks that our line originally came from VA.
