He always packed a gun and did kill many , three of which I will tell you about if you wanna call me at home , Sis. He was not one to bargain, he was very hard and did not compromise very well either. That is what I have been told. He went to prison for 20 some odd months for killing a deputy in or around crestwood , kentucky , when the man let his mules die from starvation, He talked to the man and asked him if he knew what had happened to his mules and the man told Grandpa that it was not his business to feed or water his mules even though they were in the same place as the man's mules were kept. Grandpa stood up said his name and shot him right between the eyes dead. That is just indicative of his nature, he was fast and sure with a gun and did not reason well when someone did something wrong he applied his own type of justice.
