According to the GROSS family book by Jerry Taylor--Madison/ Matison Gross was the s/o (Brock) James Brock Gross and Nancy (Brock). He married Jane Bledsoe ( d/o Dale and Nancy (Johnson) Bledsoe) in 1891 (A-100). They were divorced before Jane married Elihue Caldwell sometime between 1900-1910. Jane was listed on the 1900 Leslie Co census with Betty born ca 1892--Mallie born ca 1897 and Dewey born ca 1899.
